Welcome to the Montevallo family! We are excited to meet you at Orientation! All new UM students must attend an Orientation session in order to register for their classes. We have three goals for your Orientation day:
- To answer all of your questions
- To assist you as you select and register for your classes, and;
- For you to leave excited to return for your first semester at UM!
2025 Freshman Orientation
For all new freshman students beginning school in August 2025
Freshman Orientation sessions are held in April, June, and July. All new students must attend an Orientation in order to register for their classes. Our 2025 Freshman Orientation dates are as follows: April 18, 2025; April 24, 2025; April 25, 2025; June 6, 2025; June 26, 2025; June 27, 2025; and July 25, 2025. Registration for these dates is now open.

2025 Transfer Orientation
For all new transfer students beginning school in August 2025
Transfer Orientation sessions are held in June and July. All new students must attend an Orientation in order to register for their classes. Our 2025 Transfer Orientation dates are as follows: June 5, 2025 and July 24, 2025. Registration for these dates is now open.

2025 Summer School Orientation
For all new students beginning school in June or July 2025
New students who plan to start school in the summer (June or July) must attend Summer School Orientation on Friday, May 30, 2025. Freshman students who plan to attend in both the summer and fall 2025 semesters are encouraged to attend an April Orientation date instead. All new students must attend an Orientation in order to register for their classes. Registration for this date is now open.
